Aerospace/Mechanical Engineer

 

 

 


 Aerospace/Mechanical Engineer

Reporting directly to the Engineering Manager, the engineer will support development of approved aerospace products through design, analysis, testing and reporting.

 

Work Scope:

 

·         Work as a member of the team to develop and design new products

·         Interface with shop personnel for system and component design

·         Write test plans and analysis reports to substantiate designs and show compliance with required regulations

·         Conceptualize and setup computer, PC, based data acquisition systems for aerospace testing

·         Be willing to maintain a flexible mindset to do whatever is required for the organization’s success.

 

Skills, Education, and Experience:

 

·         Education: Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, aerospace engineering, similar field or equivalent knowledge and experience (EIT / PE licenses are a plus)

·         Prefer previous experience with aerospace design, testing and analysis for FAA certified products

·         Experience with solid modeling design, finite element analysis (FEA) and data acquisition software is a plus (especially Catia, Unigraphics, Nastran/Patran, LabView or Labtech)

·          Must be well versed with windows based operating systems and software (Word, Excel etc.)

·         Hands on person with problem solving abilities that will successfully interface with individuals on a company wide basis

·         Technical skills in engineering and manufacturing technology

·         Top notch organizational skills

·         Strong customer orientation

·         Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

Aerospace Mechanical Drafter

 

Reporting directly to the Engineering Manager, the drafter will support development of approved aerospace products, tooling and testing equipment.

  

Work Scope:

 

·     Work as a member of the team to develop and design new  products

·     Interface with shop personnel for system and component design

·     Interface with vendors to specify aircraft hardware and complex assemblies

·     Be willing to maintain a flexible mindset to do whatever is required for the organization’s success

 

Skills, Education, and Experience

  

·     Education: Drafting degree is strongly recommended with an emphasis in mechanical or electrical design 

·     Prefer previous experience with aerospace design or similar field, testing and analysis for FAA certified products

·     Experience with 2D drafting and 3D solid modeling are preferred (especially AutoCad, Catia, and Unigraphics)

·     Must be well versed with windows based operating systems and software (Word, Excel, Outlook)

·     Hands on person with problem solving abilities that will successfully interface with individuals on a company wide basis

·     Technical skills in design and manufacturing technology

·     Top notch organizational skills

 Aviation Maintenance and Manufacturing Inspector

Reporting directly to the Quality Assurance Manager, the qualified applicant will have at least three (3) years experience as company inspector with an STC/PMA manufacturer (part conformity inspection) and five (5) years experience in aviation with one (1) year as IA or FAA Part 145 Repair Station inspector with return to service authorization.
 
Work Scope:
 
Work with the Quality Assurance Manager to develop the skills and experience with Soloy and FAA forms and documentation and the processes to approve aircraft for return to service.
Interface with the FAA Flight Standards District Office (FSDO) and Manufacturing Inspection District Office (MIDO) to support company repair station and manufacturing goals.
Inspect the work of aircraft mechanics performing maintenance, modification, or repair and overhaul of aircraft and aircraft systems in order to ensure adherence to safety standards and procedures.
Inspect systems and structures during the installation process and insure adherence to drawings and STC installation requirements.
Be able to read and interpret manufacturing drawings and inspect parts, components and assemblies.  
 
Education and Experience:
 
Applicants seeking the maintenance inspector position must possess the FAA airframe and powerplant (A&P) mechanic rating with an Inspectors Authorization (IA)
Experience to qualify for, or prior experience as, a Designated Manufacturing Inspector Representative (DMIR) and/or Designated Airworthiness Representative (DAR) is a plus.
 
Successful Candidates will Exhibit the following Attributes:
 
Applicants must be U.S. citizens, be fluent in the English language, meet physical requirements, and have no chemical dependencies and will be required to meet the requirements of FAA approved drug testing program.
Must possess strong self management skills, such as the ability to work independently, handle stressful situations, communication and work well with others.
